Royal Queensland Food & Wine Show

Australia’s best lamb was set sizzling for the inaugural Royal Queensland Food & Wine Show (RQF&WS) Branded Lamb Competition on Monday 31 May 2010. Identically prepared cuts of lamb were assessed by judges including Matt Moran of Aria in Sydney and Brisbane, Fiona Donnelly representing Courier Mail’s Queensland Food & Wine Guide, renowned Brisbane Chef and Restaurateur Russell Armstrong of Barolo and Seasalt at Armstrong’s, Marilyn Domenech from French favorite Baguette, meat industry figure Michael Crowley Manager of Meat Standards Australia (MSA) and Brisbane culinary identity Peter Howard.
Mirrool Creek Lamb won a bronze medal, the branded lamb event included many entrants from all over Australia.
